Just a quick note to tell the Cheddarverse that I'm back.

Had an absolutely brilliant time over in British Columbia! I briefly visited Canada many years back but this time I've truely had a chance to appreachiate how different the Canadians are to Brits and Americans.

Couple of highpoints of interest to the modeler. On Graville Island (Vancouver) there is a Model Boat and Train Museum. Model trains are not really my thing personally but you can appreachiate the skill of the scratchbuilt examples and any modeler will be impressed by the massive diorama layout that has been built there.

Victoria had

which had something like 20+ dioramhas, some of the figures used such as Britian's Cowboys recognizable from my childhood.

What else was there? Some pretty good beer, lots of nature, lots of wildlife -how often do you get to go for a walk in the woods and spot a killer whale, or fly over a pair of eagles?

I did get to finish some more units before I went, so pictures will be going up soon. I only got in yesterday and given I have the start of a cold, had just got off more than 12hrs of flight, not slept much the night before, barely slept on the plane, was expecting jetlag and so on I decided against attempting any photography!
