With the upgrade of the gallery, you can now make dynamic albums based on keywords or other aspects of the pictures in the gallery! Using this feature, you can create dynamic galleries containing specific keywords, or you can pull up the most recent, most popular, or highest rated pictures!
[b]Newest Pictures[/b]
Navigate to any album. In album view, at the bottom of the album, you'll see a dropdown [i]action[/i] menu. Select [b]View Latest Updates[/b] to see the newest things in the album! This works recursively; it will pull the latest pictures from all subalbums below the album you're in! And you can copy the URL for future use, it will always pull the most recent from that album! [b]Most Popular[/b]
The gallery keeps count on how many times each picture is viewed. Selecting [b]View Popular Items,[/b] you'll see the most frequently viewed pictures!
[b]By Ratings[/b]
You can rate pictures on a scale of five stars, much like CMON, and the album can now sort pictures based on ratings! If you go to http://www.cheddarmongers.org/prod/rating/4.5 you'll see all of the pictures with a rating of 4.5 or greater. Of course, this would only be useful when folks start voting!
[b]Keyword Albums[/b]
A powerful way to group pictures together based on the keywords you put into each picture. Edit the picture to add keywords on the [b]general[/b] tab. When entering keywords, separate the terms by commas. Then they become clickable! And you've created a custom album!
For example, I started populating keyword info in my Snow Beasts. So, now, if you go to http://www.cheddarmongers.org/prod/pic/key/snow you'll see a custom album based on everything with the keyword of Snow in it. The keyword album will look for partials, so if your keyword is [b]Snow Troll[/b] it will show up under keywords [b]snow, troll, [/b]or [b]snow+troll.[/b]
