Thanks, CM :) Oh, you meant my Kevinicus' sideburns ;)

I've had some advice on the FoD, and hopefully I'll post an update later this week!

That's pretty good keeper! But where's the cigar?

I seriously thought about adding a cigar, and I asked about it on the Forum of Doom. However, since the HF kids are going to be involved, I didn't want to encourage smoking. And I enjoyed revelling in the historical revisionism of not giving him a cigar! ;) It would be easy enough to add for just about anyone, should they want him to have one, anyway! :)

You probably think I'm being a bit weird, and whilst smoking is a personal choice for anyone to make or not as they desire; I know that smoking really can do horrible things to people and I don't want to encourage it at all.

I quite agree with you not wanting to encourage smoking. It is a terrible habit and does untold damage to those that do it, and those around them. However, just about every fantasy and sci-fi miniature ever produced is weilding a weapon of some death dealing sort. Does that encourage children to be violent? I know its wandering off topic and I do think you're right, but you can see the flaw in the argument.

I can see exactly what you're saying - but I also think there is a bigger suspension of disbelief over violence than there is over smoking. This is because people will more readily do something that is not seen as harming anyone else, than something that does affect other people. Another flawed argument, but this is how a lot of people view smoking.

Anyway, it's all done now and entered - so there is no changing it! :) This is the revised sculpt that I have entered, with new shoes and a better hat!

Since no-one else seems to have tackled a historical subject with Dress a Kev, so I thought I'd put my meagre modelling skills to the test (since Kev said he's interested in ideas as much as actual skill - which is just as well!), and although my skills seem to have failed the test, I'm actually fairly pleased with the result, since this is the first time I've ever used green stuff for more than filling gaps or making scale bin-bags out of the leftovers.

So, ladies, gentlemen and sundry dwarfs, may I present, the galaxy's formost engineering genius: Isambard Kevinicus Brunel. Last known to be employed designing and constructing of some of the largest space-going vessels ever known to Grymnkind; it is rumoured he is currently building an interplanetary bridge out of nothing but cast iron and rivets the size of Ogrymn!!

Obviously, I've still got a lot of things to improve on - shoes are awful - can't get that fecking top hat right - and I don't know how to start making the whole thing smoother. So any advice that anyone can offer would be most appreciated!!
