It has been a long held hope that one day, I would build a Squat army.
Works in Progress
It has been a long held hope that one day, I would build a Squat army.
This is something I've been wanting to make for myself for a long time, and a couple of weeks ago, I had a flash of inspiration :)
Okay, here's what I decided to do. We got another pile of snow, so I know I'm working on borrowed time!
First up, my 40K army:

To follow, some Bloodbowl and Mordheim, then some choice characters here and there.
hello everyone, i was going to post this on the FOD but the site has gone down.
I know, it's been a while. A very long while! Well, here we go. I have some time off of work, so I dug out my paints, cleaned up my work bench, and started painting! Here's what I have in progress:

Quite a bit of Reaper here; Sasquatch, a chained ghost, a detective, a barber, a grave digger and his assistance, and The King by West Wind.
This week is about incremental progress... not a whole lot of work done on my painting.

I haven't done a whole lot on the giant, haven't touched a brush to Jadeah, but I'm just about done with the treasure monkey, and Gauntfield just needs his base finished off. I did a little work on the undertaker and his assistant, and started on Suzi.
Here's my current workbench:

I'm still hobbling along working on the Marauder Giant -- here I've done the flesh tones and most of the blacklining. I'm also working on the Reaper Undertaker, the treasure monkey, the female half-orc barbarian, and Gauntfield the Scarecrow.
The Black Scorpion Pirate and Ford the Cop both are taking baths in the stripping jar right now... :chased:
Still focusing on Black Scorpion and Reaper miniatures, I got a couple of things done already. When I get their bases in order, I'll go ahead and send in pictures for the Golden Chef!
Here's today's workbench -- I had quite a turnover lately, and turned my focus on finishing a couple of favorites on my workbench, and getting ready for the upcoming Black Scorpion contest...

On the workbench, we see some Black Scorpion figures; injun gal, cow gal, pirate, and intrepid woman. Also up, I'm finishing the Heresy Succubi, the Bungle Scunners, and Spyglass Kage Dar.
This week's workbench is pretty full. Maybe I'll take a pic tomorrow... I finished Heresy Miniatures Skunk, but had a problem with Dullcote -- I just couldn't kill the shine! I finally got him matte enough for pictures. I also finished the Earthdawn Inebriated Troll I've had in my collection for years. He came out pretty cool, and is quite the partner for the Grenadier Ogress.
