It has been a long held hope that one day, I would build a Squat army.

This afternoon, for the Sheffield Irregulars' monthly competition themed 'Duel', I painted The World's Smallest Wargame, which was the free entry miniature for the Newark Irregulars' Partizan 2007 show.
It is two 6mm wargamers playing an even smaller wargame! These armies on the tabletop have got to be the smallest armies I've ever painted!!
Not a miniature that is available any longer, unfortunately. This 54mm (or more accurately 1/32 scale) Klingon Warrior is a resin miniature that was made by MMI. Unfortunately, they no longer trade - I picked this chap up on ebay. The base is from Miniature Heroes, although I have embelished it a little with some freehand ;)
Not my best paintwork ever, nor my best sculpting (some of the resin bitswere damaged needed serious GS work) - but I'm just really happy to have a painted Klingon! :D
Your comments are most welcome, too :)
I don't know if I've mentioned before my old standing love of BattleTech. For about fifteen years I've been wanting to paint up a light, recon lance of Inner Sphere Mechs - and a few weeks ago I saw the notice on the WaMP forum about a painting competition for Iron Wind Metals - who are the current manufacturer of miniatures for the BattleTech game! :) So I thought I had to take part! And I just wanted to show of the result, as I'm pretty pleased with it :)
Death for the Death God - no, wait, that doesn't work, does it? Anyway ...
I had a game of Necromunda over the summer with a couple of the lads at Sheffield Wargames Society. Since we could only muster two gangs between us, I knocked out these chaps in just under a week. With a bit longer, I think I would have done a bit more with the weapons, but I am still plesed with the way they turned out!
I've been a bit quiet this summer, as it ihas all been rather busy IRL - but that doesn't mean I haven't been painting. Just not photographing!
Following a conversation with my sister over a dead night light, there was a bit of general disbelief in my family that that surely I couldn't think of something gaming to make out of any old rubbish, and being the mildly competitive type I have just finished my VSF British Scout Aeronef.
Not nearly as good as a lot of the other excellent Aeronefs you can find on other parts of the internet, I'm pretty pleased with her, nevertheless.
Well, I can't say that at the moment, since my camera is being repaired again. As some of you know, bit of a backlogue of painted figures building up!
I came across this photo last night
