Not a miniature that is available any longer, unfortunately. This 54mm (or more accurately 1/32 scale) Klingon Warrior is a resin miniature that was made by MMI. Unfortunately, they no longer trade - I picked this chap up on ebay. The base is from Miniature Heroes, although I have embelished it a little with some freehand ;)

Not my best paintwork ever, nor my best sculpting (some of the resin bitswere damaged needed serious GS work) - but I'm just really happy to have a painted Klingon! :D

Your comments are most welcome, too :)

Very nice Keeper,
personally I would have gone for a little more black ink wash and another level of highlighting on the face. Blade is a little too silver for me too. I usually paint these MP Chainmail (or GW Boltgun metal) and highlight with GW chainmail.

But a fine job.

Thanks Phil :) I think I'll incorporate your suggestions into my next Klingon, as I've got another one of these chaps to do! :D

It may be the photo, but I find the colour of the batlef grip and weapon sheathes distracting since they appear very close to those of his skin. I'd also consider different metalics for the belt weapons -Tamiya Gunmetal, WGF Brazen, MP Blue steel, Bronze etc.

A lot of guys who make Klingon weapons use titanium and that gets some really interesting multicoloured hues if you treat it a certain way.

Yeah, Bronze might be a good idea. It seem to have a very Klingon feel to it - at least to me.

Of course, since the grip on the Bat'leth is made from the skin of a vanquished foe, it is very similar in colour to his! ;) But I could consider having the next one vanquish a Gorn, instead :D

But the tanning process would darken or lighten the skin! Personally I'd just give that a wash of your chosen type.

I believe the Disruptors in the original star trek were a goldie-bronze colour

Yeah, I think it might be the original disruptor colour I half remembered when you mentioned bronze!

But the binding are double tanned - first to darken, then to lighten the skin ;)
