Stuff of Legends is always a good place to look for old minis, like this one. Specifically this page has Rogue Trader space marines - the C100 series is listed in the top-left corner and if you follow the links, there are lots of scans of these minis painted, which are great inspiration for colour schemes.

You might even be able to tell us which mini it is! ;)

I already have -he is called "Death Squad" -which admittedly is an unusual name for a single figure

You can see him here

as it turns out,I already have another C100 -I brought the missile launcher dude a while back thinking he was was a normal marine (and evidently not noticing that figure and backpack were a single moulding)

In that case, I think both of those C100 marines would look good as proper old-style blood angels with the armour that tends more towards the orange. You are free to disagree, of course :)

Can't see them as Blood Angels at all. I have a few blood angel peices-terminators, chaplain etc

I was thinking of having the guys as more as power armoured adventurers since they won't really fit in with units of older figures -they look smaller as well as the different armour style.

Have to say I did quite well on this deal. It was supposed to be three chaplains, two medics and four techmarines.

Three techmarines, one chaplain and one medic are all figures I didn't have, and the forth techmarine is actually a C100. Most of the figures in this collection I've now seen priced at £4.99 or higher- £8 for the chaplains. I paid under a fiver for all nine figures!

Nice deal :D I've noticed that quite a bit of stuff is selling for a lower final price on ebay in the last couple of months. Guess it must just be down to the economic times!

You'd think so, but if anything I was surprised at the higher prices being asked for some of the vintage stuff -£4.99 for RT techmarines, £7.95 for RT chaplains etc. Of course, that makes me feel better about paying under a fiver for this bundle.

I had actually though of the blood angels for "death squad", but doubtless inspired by the name I was thinking of the black Blood Oath figures. He may actually end up in red, but will be an adventurer, not a marine.

Will have to decide what I want to do with my duplicate medic and chaplains

Anyone know anything about the C100 marines designed by Bob Naismith? Just found one in a small job lot I brought and stuff of legends identifies it as "Death Squad"

What do you think would be a good colour scheme for him?
