This is the present I painted for my Mum for Christmas. Painting it took me right up to the wire, so I wasn't able to get proper photos - these were taken with my sister's iPhone in an obviously make-shift setup on Mum's dining room table.

I'm fairly pleased with it and Mum thought it was great, and I don't think I've seen another one of these painted apart from the two studio versions on the Newbold website.

The only thing to note is that Newbold call it a Dracophant - I call it a Dragophant, but that doesn't really matter when you're facing a beastie of this size!!

OK, finally got around to photographing in full the two Blood Bowl teams that are finished so far - although they might change and need a couple more models as they teams evolve in the game - especially the Dark Elf team that only has 12 players at the moment!

I think I've shown the Ogre Team here before, but not with all 16 players!

As I've probably mentioned before, I started playing some 15mm WWII using the Crossfire rules. These are the two companies I've painted so far: A British Leg Company for me and a British Indian Leg Company for my friend Tom, who I've been playing against.

The British are Peter Pig figures. The British Indians are a job-lot Tom picked up dirt cheap that feel like FoW sculpts, but I'm not sure as I can't find any FoW British Indians for sale, anywhere! Oh, and a few PP 8th Army British Indians to make up the numbers.

Since no-one else seems to have tackled a historical subject with Dress a Kev, so I thought I'd put my meagre modelling skills to the test (since Kev said he's interested in ideas as much as actual skill - which is just as well!), and although my skills seem to have failed the test, I'm actually fairly pleased with the result, since this is the first time I've ever used green stuff for more than filling gaps or making scale bin-bags out of the leftovers.

So -- I rotated a few things out of my workbench -- I just wasn't getting anywhere with the final Heresy Sci Fi fellows, and I thought the Golden Chef would be good motivation, so here: my workbench for this week:
